01 / TERMS OF REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION

Registration for this contest is solely through this site.

Contest open to architecture and interior architecture students (Master's) and to young architects under the age of thirty at the date of registration. Participants register individually or in groups (maximum of 4 people).

 

Only duly completed forms will be accepted and validated.

 

Candidates will receive an email confirming their registration and giving their participation number.

 

The technical data and the dimensions of the Progress range will be sent to participants after registration.

 

Candidates must provide a photocopy of their student ID card or their diploma.

 

All items to be submitted by 4 January, 2018.



02 / The prizes

For the winner: 6000 euros – internship in our engineering department (duration to be determined with the winner)


2nd place, a prize money of 5,000 euros

 

3rd place, a prize money of 3,000 euros

 

20 projects will be short-listed and published in an "Architecture(s) Elémentaire(s)" publication. The short-listed projects will be on show at the awards ceremony, published in an "Architecture(s) Elémentaire(s)" publication.

 

03 / MATERIALS TO BE SUBMITTED

Candidates must create an A0 board.

The A0 board will give their registration number, a title, a text explaining the project, several images, drawing or other illustrations.

There must be no information identifying the author of the project, otherwise the candidate will be excluded from the contest. Candidates must also provide the board and all elements featured in digital form.

Each element must be in high-definition PDF format; text will be in Microsoft Word (.doc / .docx)

05 / SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Use of components from the standard Algeco range
  • Technical feasibility for industrial and economic implementation for adaptability to the market
  • Typological innovation in terms of features
  • Urban innovation in terms of quality of assembly
  • Aesthetic innovation (if possible consider sustainability)
  • Presentation of the project
06 / RESULTS/PUBLICATIONS

The first 20 short-listed projects will be published in issue no. 7 of Architecture(s) Élémentaire(s).

07 / OWNERSHIP OF PROJECTS

Participants remain owners of the projects submitted to the contest and of their rights of use. They are required to protect their property by filing a patent or model. The organisers accept no liability for damages resulting from negligence on the part of the participant and concerning protection of industrial property. Projects are subject to all legislation protecting copyright. They are expressly mentioned by the law 92-597 of 1 July 1992, on the industrial property code, amending and/or extending the laws or articles previously in force.

Algeco reserves the right to use these projects and the identity of the participant(s) for the purposes of communication or advertising, for which Algeco will be the sole judge.

It has the right to mention the projects in press articles, advertising documents or brochures and to present them in public events of its choice without limitation of duration.

For these purposes, it is authorised to make any copies, graphic or photographic representations of the winning or short-listed projects, as well as of their creators, provided that it mentions their names.

08 / RIGHT TO IMAGES AND USE OF NAMES

Participants authorise Algeco to use their names and images as part of its communication, for a period of 10 years in paper (publications), audiovisual and digital (online) format.

09 / GUARANTEES

Participants agree to compete loyally in the contest and in a personal capacity.

They guarantee the organisers that their project is original and is a result of their own work, and is not borrowed from previous and protected works.

As appropriate, and by virtue of their registration and participation in the contest, participants guarantee the organisers against any third-party claims, particularly concerning the originality and/or authorship of the said project, without prejudice to any damages if applicable.
